“Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth.” Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of Pantone Color Institute
I’m really excited to incorporate this year’s color into my entertaining lifestyle. My mind is racing with ways to use Marsala in recipes, wine pairings, setting my table – napkins, flowers, fruits and berries, and accessories – wow!
How fun & easy to serve a bottle of merlot with a lovely appetizer of poached pears in marsala wine, topped with a cube of gorgonzola cheese. Shake up your Friday night burger bar by sauteeing mushrooms in marsala wine, yum. And, I’m so going to make Giada’s Chocolate Zabaglione Triamisu! I can’t wait to set a platter of fresh figs on my kitchen table – so beautiful!
I’m off to the markets in search of creative tabletop accessories to highlight this color and will share those with you in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can follow my Pinterest page for additional inspiration: http://www.pinterest.com/innerfoodie/pantone-color-of-the-year-2015/
