Today is the longest day of the year (how great is that?!) with plenty of daylight for enjoying a late night dinner, and a bottle of wine while you’re waiting for the lightening bugs to come out.  Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate the Summer Solstice to me!

Here’s the perfect menu for celebrating the Summer Solstice or any summer night for that matter!

A big platter of Grilled Chicken Salad with Sweet Bell Peppers served at room temperature, and a warm baguette paired with a bottle of Cakebread Cellars Sauvignon Blanc.  End with a bowl of fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream – this is a truly beautiful and delicious meal!  Enjoy!
