Celebrate the end of summer with our Farm to Table gathering ideas!
Pot Luck Breakfast – Don’t fret over making the entire meal, make the main course a frittata, egg bake, or french toast. Assign each guest a course to bring such as fruit, salads, potato dish or muffins. It’s a party – people love to bring something!
Appetizers on the Boat – Whether you love cruisin’ on the pontoon, the sailboat or tubing behind the speed boat – you’ll need some snacks! Keep it fresh by packing some easy to eat veggie & cheese skewers.
One of my favorite combinations is; cucumber wedge, cube of feta cheese, and half of a grape tomato, drizzle with a little olive oil, salt & pepper. Pack them in a plastic container with a lid, place in your cooler and you’re good-to-go!
Dessert Under the Stars – It’s Labor Day, a day set aside for rest & parties so, make it easy & healthy by purchasing some fresh cherries, strawberries & pineapple chunks. Arrange on a large platter and drizzle the fruit with caramel sauce or hot fudge – Mrs. Richardson’s ice cream toppings work great. Pair with your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy the stars!
