Spicy Shrimp with Ginger-Garlic Haricot Verts

Ingredients Amount
Olive Oil 6 Tbs.
Large Shrimp, uncooked 1 lbs.
Mirin 1/4 cup
Soy Sauce 2 Tblsp.
Scallions, sliced 2-3
Red pepper flakes 1/4 tsp.
Ginger, minced 2-3 tsp.
Garlic, minced 2 tsp.
Sesame Oil 2 Tblsp.
Haricot verts 1/2 pound


In a glass bowl, combine the shrimp, mirin, soy sauce, scallions, and red pepper flakes. Marinate in the fridge for at least an hour, no longer than 6 hours. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sesame oil and the garlic and ginger. Cook stirring until the garlic begins to color, about 10 seconds. Add the green beans, stir to coat with the garlic and ginger. Continue cooking 1-2 minutes. Add the shrimp and the marinade to the green beans. Continue cooking until the juices have reduced and slightly thickened and the shrimp are pink – about 3-4 minutes. Serve immediately.
