I love cookbooks. However, I’m very particular about selecting cookbooks to purchase – I only buy what I know I’ll put to use and have around a long time. I feel the same way about giving books. I want them to be read and used. Here are 3 cookbooks that will resonate with the foodie and foodie wanna-be on your list:
The Foothills Cuisine of Blackberry Farm is the perfect cookbook for farm-to-table cuisine lovers.
Blackberry Farm has long been lauded as one of the country’s most excellent resorts and sought out for its perfect mix of rusticity and refinement. The Blackberry Farm Cookbook was a love letter to the experience and cuisine of Blackberry Farm. Now, owner Sam Beall takes food lovers a step further, drawing them deeply into the secrets that make Blackberry Farm cuisine so magical. I love this book!
Cowgirl Creamery Cooks is the perfect cookbook for the cheese-lover on your list!
The Cowgirl Creamery Cooks is one of those rare books that immediately asserts itself as an indispensable addition to the food lover’s library.
It’s a primer on tasting, buying, storing, pairing, and appreciating all kinds of cheese that makes this a gorgeous gift for the cheese lover. And it’s a sumptuous collection of recipes, with 75 appetizers, soups, salads, snacks, entrees, and desserts that showcase cow-, goat-, and sheep-milk cheese. Throughout, the glorious photographs of Hirsheimer & Hamilton portray myriad cheeses, finished dishes, and the landscapes and people who created them.
Seriously Delish – The eagerly awaited first cookbook from the wildly popular blog How Sweet Eats
This is the perfect cookbook for the foodie wanna-be who wants to learn how to be more adventurous with their cooking.
Some of my favorite recipes from this creative blogger are, Amaretto–Butternut Squash Soup with Cinnamon Toast Croutons, Mini Crab Cakes with Sweet Corn and Blueberry Salsa, and Fleur de Sel Caramel Bourbon Brownie Milk Shakes. Seriously Delish features imaginative recipes that are tasty and original and bring readers to a place where cooking becomes adventurous and food becomes fun. I’m a big fan of this blogger and know you’ll love her first cookbook as much as I do!
