My favorite place to spend New Years Eve is at the cabin. It’s the perfect place to embrace the meaning of this holiday. The beauty and serentiy is the perfect venue for reflecting on the past year and anticipating what’s to come. Once again we’ll gather with our dear friends to ring in the new year with laughter, conversation, great food and a cocktail or two!
We’ll begin the evening with the 2011 McArdle cocktail of choice- the “Manhattan” . So yummy! We spent the year carefully testing several versions to come up with the perfect recipe. Here is our not-so secret recipe:
McArdle’s Manhattan: “526 Baby”
5 oz. Crown Royal
2 oz. Tribuno Sweet Vermouth
6 drops Angostura Aromatic Bitters
1 tsp. Cherry Juice
Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Gently shake to mix. Pour into two low ball glasses that have been filled with ice and two cherries. Toast to 2011 and enjoy!
I’m looking forward to discovering my favorite 2012 cocktail! Ideas anyone?
Best wishes for peace, love and joy in 2012!
