The July issue of the Food Network magazine shares 30 different ways, yes that’s 30 different ways, to dress up the all-American hot dog! Everything from the Chicago Dog to Taco Dogs to Bacon-Wrapped Splitters… Anyone remember the “Weiner Wink”? Hmmm!
My 4th of July cookout menu definetly includes the all-American hot dog. The hot dog of choice at our house is the Vienna dog and this year our hot dog experience will include roasting the dog’s over an open campfire, plus a variety of toppings so each person can personalize their dog.
Toppings will include Chicago Dog fixings;poppy-seed bun, dill pickle, sliced tomatoes, sweet pickle relish, pickled peppers, diced onion and yellow mustard as well s Bruschetta Dog fixings; diced tomatoes mixed with chopped garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and torn fresh basil, served on a toasted Italian bun. Ohh la,la! Sounds like a great hot dog experience to me!
All the best as you create a memorable 4th of July experience for your family and friends!
